The wait is over. The 2010 PDGA Amateur and Junior Disc Golf World Championships are here! In addition to registration, Monday will be filled with field events and the player meeting. Then, bright and early Tuesday morning the competition begins.

Don’t forget your bug spray, extra discs, and lucky mini.

Registration for the Am Worlds Is Closed!

The confirmation package that goes out to all competitiors was emailed on Friday June 18th. Those documents are also available here.

Player Check will be on Monday from 9am to 4pm at the George Alber Student Center at OSU Marion. The Player’s Meeting will be at the same location at 7pm. If you can’t make it by 4pm please contact Memberships Manager Addie Isbell at aisbell@pdga.com.

Field events will also be at The Ohio State University Marion campus from 9am to 4pm.

Two 9-Hole Course Giveaway & Worlds Fundraiser

Presented to the 2010 PDGA Am World Championships

DGA is excited to announce the return of our highly successful fundraiser disc and disc golf course giveaway program that has been offered to the 2010 Am World Championships being held in Marion, Ohio. This is the fourth year this program has been offered to the PDGA Worlds and has proven to be a very successful fundraiser for the Championships.

O, H…I, O! That is Ohio’s way to greet you, get someone’s attention or proclaim that we belong to one of the best states in the USA. All week long, while you are at the airport, on a course or a restaurant, shout out O…H… and you will always be answered by an I…O!! Ohio has a proud heritage with our agriculture, rock and roll heritage, various inventors and inventions, college and pro sports and of course, disc golf. In fact, so proud is Ohio that a group of disc golfers in the middle of the state have decided to share the state, the courses and the Mid-Western hospitality with the rest of the world. So, we welcome you, world, to Ohio for the 2010 PDGA AM World Championships, presented by The Ohio National Guard.

The host group, with help from other disc golf organizations around the state, is MOODGolf, or Mid-Ohio Organized Disc Golf, which is comprised of many disc golfers dedicated to encourage everyone to get involved in Disc Golf as it relates to growth, competition, health, education, friendships, and charitable involvement.

Tournament play will be conducted at six Ohio Championship courses each located in Bucyrus, Marion, Tiffin, Upper Sandusky and two in Delaware. Event central will be located in Marion at The Ohio State University-Marion Campus. OSU Marion is very excited to have the worlds visit their campus. This type of outreach fits right into their strong ties to the community. OSU Marion is a beautiful campus just off the main road, tucked away from the hustle and bustle of a popular shopping area and hotels in Marion. The campus has ample room for registration, field events, players meeting and the final nine and is a perfect fit for Ohio’s Championships.
